THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS
Will Smith stars in this moving tale inspired by the true story of Chris Gardner, a San Francisco salesman struggling to build a future for himself and his 5-year-old son Christopher (Jaden Smith). When his girlfriend Linda (Thandie Newton) walks out, Chris is left to raise Christopher (Jaden Smith) on his own. Chris’ determination finally pays off when he lands an unpaid internship in a brutally competitive stockbroker-training program, where only one in twenty interns will make the cut. But without a salary, Chris and his son are evicted from their apartment and are forced to sleep on the streets, in homeless shelters and even behind the locked doors of a metro station bathroom. With self-confidence and the love and trust of his son, Chris Gardner rises above his obstacles to become a Wall Street legend.

Cinematography
the movie is shot in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio, shots in the movie range between 2,4 and 9 seconds. the character movement also varies a lot throughout the film. Some scenes have less movement and the characters only begin to move when transitioning to another scene.

Editing
various editing styles are used in the movie for example in the first scene, transitions used to indicate in and out of the shots are straight cuts. shot are performed quick just like in action movies.

Sound Design
the sounds uses in the movie are various song performed to reflect the situation in particular scenes.

Directing
Director Gabriele Muccino wants to make it reality and a real replica of Chris Gardner life. it is simple and easy to comprehend. he did great.

Slumdog Millionaire

First the dominant in this scene are the characters of Jamal and his older brother Salim which is the two main characters in the movie.

Both Jamal and Salim are the object in this shot/focus

The low key lighting was used the scene is totally dark, they used the light to enlighten the whole place.

This shot is a full shot they shows the character and a minimal amount of location.

This shot is eye level shot. The character wants to show how difficult for us to be okay when it’s not.

The use color in this shot is symbolic, shaded dark, shadow and natural lighting from the sun which represent the color of darkness from their past and the light represent who are they now but still ashamed for who they were.

The lens used in this shot is slow film stock they are insensitive to light

In this shot aside from the characters, the subject is the location its symbolizing their character from the past. ” Torn and abandoned”.

This shot is horizontal compositions they just sitting there and talk after the fight.

The framing in this scene is loose. The characters have a lot of space to move.

Two planes are in focus the characters and the location.

The characters are centered in the frame the rest are supporting the scene.

The characters are shown profile because the character in this shot are seem so unaware of being observe and tired of a long fight.

Being a mother is a big responsibility, you never know what will happen until you become one, forget all the happiness in the world and take a lifetime fun of being a mom.

Her extraordinary dedication has given her a lot of chances to live her life, according to Gina Zulueta there is one thing left to do, get her children out of this country and live her life with them.

“being a mother to my children is the best thing I’ve ever done in my whole life” she said. Struggling the big world to feed her family, provide good education and maintain their health. Patience and hardship will lead her to fulfill her dream.

Zulueta added, “once I dream to become an entrepreneur but this time want to take my children away from those who try to hurt them”

“our life is difficult, I keep on working just to be successful eve though its impossible I have to do it I have to chase a greener pasture for my family”

Her experience taught everything she can ever learn. She’s been underestimated by her in laws without a doubt this is the reason why she leave. “Enduring all the pain for 20 years is enough” she said.

Her duty as a mother is still there, since then she never stopped giving her 100% to her children. Every birthdays, Christmas and new years she is there. “ the most saddest part because I have to celebrate those special occasions alone”.

Distance is not a problem, After all she never left. Her presence and love is still there. “Distance will never be a threat” she explained. “no matter how far my children are they are still with me in my heart”

Her story is priceless so the OFWS are. She’s no different it all started with a dedication and handwork. Women now days are fighters. This is her story my mother’s story her life my inspiration.
